Turn on automatic data switching on Android

Google Pixel

1. 1Open Settings and tap Network & internet.
2. 2Tap SIMs and choose your SecondBars line.
3. 3Turn on Switch mobile data automatically.

Samsung Galaxy

1. 1Open Settings and tap Connections.
2. 2Tap SIM manager.
3. 3Tap More SIM settings, then turn on Auto data switching.

What it does

With the setting on, the phone can move mobile data to your other line when the main one has no usable connection. The phone decides when to switch.

If your menus look different

Android makers name and place these settings differently, and they change between versions. Search Settings for "data switching" or "SIM". If your phone does not offer it, you can still switch the data line by hand in the same SIM settings.
